Although Paradwys is no longer an inn, the cottage itself is comfortable; cool on a hot summer’s day, and cosy even in winter, within
its two-foot thick walls. Much of the original timber structure remains with beamed ceilings and walls. The night storage heaters keep the interior warm with additional electric heating if required.
Downstairs: The kitchen is well equipped and has all the facilities of a modern home
- a full size electric stove,
- fridge freezer
- Bosch washing Machine
- microwave oven,
- coffee percolator,
- constant hot water, etc.
- drying facilities
It is a pleasant airy room with the dining table at one end. The shower, toilet and washbasin are also downstairs
The sitting room has leather furniture and a log-effect electric stove for extra heat when needed and a stable door to open when the
weather is warm. There is a television with video and also a radio-cassette. On the shelves is a selection of books with lots of information, guide books
about the area and suggestions for walks around here,on the Clwyd Hills or in Snowdonia.
Upstairs: A staircase leads up from the sitting room to the bedrooms, the first
of which has a super king-size bed which will split to make twin beds if required. It has an orthopaedic mattress and visitors regularly say that they are reluctant to get up in the morning: others say they
had the best nights sleep in a long time, with only the owls to disturb them.
The second bedroom is through a communicating door and is a delightful room with two single beds
This bedroom has an additional toilet and washbasin. |
