Our cottage is only one mile from a B road which has few cars and leads very quickly to the main sight-seeing centres of North Wales
Ruthin is an attractive market town in the scenic Vale of Clwyd with a good
selection of pubs, restaurants and shops. It is only 10 minutes away and well worth a visit as there is much of interest to see there, including the newly restored Museum in the gaol.
Another mile and you reach the Clwyd Hills for which we have detailed maps and walks along this 25-mile long range and Offa’s Dyke Trail.
This is an area steeped in history from early burial mounds and hill forts to Roman
remains, Welsh castles like Dolwyddelan and Edwardian castles such as Conway, Caernarfon, Denbigh, etc.
There is something of interest for all ages and the many footpaths invite you to
explore locally from the doorstep or take a short journey in the car from your base in Paradise Cottage.
